Alerts reach this phone
Notifications allowed, the device check passed, a place saved — the three things that decide whether a warning ever reaches you.

Why this comes first
Everything else on AlertCommunities ends in a notification: a flood warning for your street, a check-in from your community, a SafeNet alert about someone you watch over. If your phone cannot receive it, none of it happened.
The three switches
- Allow notifications. In the app, or in your browser, accept the notification prompt. On a phone the browser prompt is easy to dismiss by accident — if you did, open the site settings and allow it there.
- Save a place. Alerts are for places, not accounts: home, the shop, the school. Save them under Account → Places. A warning for an area you never told us about cannot find you.
- Run the device check. Open Diagnostics and press Check this device. It sends a real test alert and shows whether the browser, the service worker and the push subscription all agree. Green means a warning would arrive right now.
Channels beyond the phone
Under Account → Channels you can link email and Telegram. In-app and push are always on; the others are for the moments the phone is silent or off. Each channel is verified once, and each notification type can be turned off per channel.
Battery savers and "do not disturb"
Android battery optimisation quietly kills background delivery on some phones. The device check tells you when that is happening and links to the setting. Emergency alerts are marked urgent and ride through most do-not-disturb modes, but a phone that is switched off receives nothing — that is what email and Telegram are for.
