Six kinds of danger, one warning
Reports from neighbours, verified by the agencies responsible, combined with official feeds and our own sensors — and delivered as a single alert to the people who are near, however it reaches them.
Floods
Solar-powered water-level stations on the drains themselves, rainfall models and community reports — the deepest chapter, built with NADMO and GARID.
Fires
Market, domestic and bush fires reported in seconds with photo and location, routed to the nearest Ghana National Fire Service station, and shown to everyone nearby.
Crime
Robberies, assaults and suspicious activity, reported anonymously if you prefer, verified by the police, and mapped so a neighbourhood can see its own pattern.
Waste
Blocked gutters, illegal dumping and uncollected refuse — the slow emergencies that become floods and disease — reported to the Assembly that has to act.
Weather
Storms, heat and heavy rain from GMet and global models, translated into a warning for your saved places rather than a forecast for the whole region.
Others
Power lines down, road collapses, health outbreaks, missing persons — whatever does not fit a box still gets a pin, a reviewer and an alert.

Ghana is not standing still: the World Bank-backed GARID programme has grown to a $350M commitment for the Odaw basin, the Fire Service and Police run control rooms around the clock, and Assemblies collect waste on a schedule. What none of them have is the first ten minutes — the moment a neighbour knows and nobody else does.
AlertCommunities is that first ten minutes. A report with a photo and a location goes straight to the agency that owns the problem and onto a live map for everyone around it. Official feeds, weather models and our own flood sensors fill in what no person reported. And the alert reaches people even if they never installed anything — by SMS, WhatsApp or a neighbour who did.
